Playtech Keeps Improving Performance
Companies all over the world are feeling the effects of the unstable economy, but the recession does not seem to be slowing down the big Playtech network.
Playtech has released their full 2008 earnings this week and thanks to a surge in revenues they are also reporting a huge increase in profits. The online casino software provider earned €40.69m in profit, a big increase from the €26.9m that they earned in 2007.
The William Hill Partnership
The software giants are also expecting to further increase earnings and to strengthen their position on the market even more due to their joint venture agreement with William Hill. "We are very pleased with the way that the integration is working and look forward to a profitable relationship with William Hill in the coming year and beyond," said Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer. The income from the joint venture with William Hill generates approximately 40% more income than the daily average income the company generated from its former customer during the previous quarter.
More Hollywood Themed Slots
Besides profits, Playtech has also announced a big, exclusive multi-year licensing deal with MGM Interactive Inc. They'll now be able to use all of their Rocky and Pink Panther images and logos to make more Hollywood themed slot games, something that they're already very familiar with.
