"Playtech, the industry leader in online gaming software provider, was the obvious choice for SEGA Games Limited and we are very excited to have them as a partner", said a SEGA Games spokesman. "Playtech solutions along with our proprietary SEGAPass technology offers us the opportunity to provide an innovative, new online gaming experience to our players and deliver the SEGA experience to people in the same manner that they have enjoyed for decades."
He added: "Not only are we uniting with a leading international technology development company but, with two trusted brands in SEGA and Playtech, our customers can have confidence in playing in a leading online casino and poker room with the assurances of quality and security which they have experienced with SEGA for decades."
Playtech continues to be in the news this week. Just a few days ago it was announced that Estonia legalized online gambling for their citizens. The deal is that during the first year, Estonian citizens can only gamble online on the nation-based platform of the Olympic Casino Group, which runs on Playtech's software.
