In Caribbean stud poker, if the dealer qualifies and you win, you get paid odds on your raise bet. The odds payouts for the various hands typically run as follows: 2-to-1 for two pair, 3-to-1 for three of a kind, 4-to-1 for a straight, 5-to-1 for a flush, 7-to-1 for a full house, 20-to-1 for four of a kind, 50-to-1 for a straight flush and 100-to-1 for a royal flush.
For the progressive jackpot side bet, the odds are generally 50-to-1 for a flush, 75 or 100-to-1 for a full house and 100, 150 or 500-to-1 for four of a kind, depending on where you play. The odds payout on a straight or royal flush depend on the size of the progressive pool. The payout can be thousands-to-1 for a straight flush and hundreds of thousands-to-1 for a royal flush.
Caribbean Stud Strategies
Your basic strategy in Caribbean stud is to raise with any pair or better and to fold with any ace queen high or worse. When to raise with ace king can be complicated. However, if you always raise with ace king jack eight deuce three or better and fold all other ace king high hands, you should do all right.

The House edge for perfect play by the player is about 5.2 percent. In other words, you can expect to lose $5.20 out of every $100 wagered over the long run. Using the jack eight deuce strategy, the House edge is only slightly higher, at 5.3 percent.
Folding all of your ace king hands confers a House edge of around 5.5, while raising all your ace king hands boosts the House to about 5.7 percent. Finally, raising every hand, while sometimes a tempting strategy for beginners, actually offers the House a tremendous 16.6 percent edge.
