There are, however, two things you should look for, which make the odds better for you:
- Surrender option. If you play in a game with "surrender option," the house edge is reduced considerably. The surrender rule applies when you place an outside bet - odd/even, high/low or black/red - and the ball lands on 0 or 00. Usually, you would loose the whole bet, but if the game has "surrender option," you'll get half your bet back.
- 00 or 0. There are two versions of blackjack tables: American and European. The American tables have two zeros while the European tables only have one. In the first category, the house edge is 5.26%, and in the second only 2.7%. Therefore, you should always go for the European roulette tables.
